Kiwanis donates car seats
The Kiwanis Club of Coldwater has donated 40 car seats to Beginnings Care for Life Center, in their ongoing effort to keep the children of Branch County safe from harm. This is part of their ongoing support of the pregnancy care center, which gives free services and support to families.

The seats will be used as incentive items for the center’s Earning & Learning Program. Clients receive DVD-based Parenting and Life Skills Education while earning points, which can be exchanged for child-care and many other items. The lessons are set up on an individual basis, during convenient hours and in a private, comfortable environment. Diapers, children’s books, new clothing, household items, bath-and-body items and gift cards are also available, through the program.
“We really appreciate the support that Kiwanis gives us and these thoughtful and helpful gifts”, said Jane Ford, Director of Beginnings Care for Life Center. “We rely on donations for our incentive items and are so thankful for the generosity of those who supply them.”
The seats were purchased at the Coldwater Wal-Mart and the Kiwanis members are thankful for the discount that they received, when purchasing them. “We were able to buy all 40 seats, because of the reduced price that they gave us”, explained Terry Tomlinson, Kiwanis member.
